Application Process > LeaP Application Process
The purpose of the Leadership Pensacola selection process is to choose a class of 50 participants who are representative of Northwest Florida. A positive learning environment will be created through the ten-month LeaP curriculum. The Class will have the opportunity to become educated on various regional issues, exchange ideas and enhance their leadership skills. The selection process seeks a cross-section of the community - men and women from different career, educational, political, social and cultural backgrounds.
Eligibility
Applicantion is open to persons living and working in the Pensacola Bay Area.
Applications
Applications are available beginning in February to be returned with a $25 non-refundable application fee by March 31. Applications are confidentially reviewed by a Selection Committee comprised of community leaders. Applicants are notified in May of class selection. Fifty class members are chosen for each class. Since class size is limited, the selection process is competitive.
Every effort is made to reflect the cultural and ethnic richness of the community to achieve a balanced representation of the community and it is not unusual for applicants to apply more than once.
Applicants representing a corporation or organization must have the full support of their employer or sponsoring organization. Individuals do not need to be associated with a business or organization to apply.
